CDL A or B Driver – Vacuum Truck / Vactor Operator

About the Role
We're looking for a dependable CDL A or B driver to join our environmental remediation team as a Vacuum Truck and Vactor Operator. You'll be operating industrial vacuum trucks and hydro-excavation (Vactor) units to support petroleum cleanup, tank cleaning, and hazardous waste removal projects throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
This is hands-on work with real variety—no two days are the same. You'll work alongside experienced remediation crews on everything from emergency spill response to scheduled tank cleanouts at industrial facilities.
What You'll Do
Operate vacuum trucks and Vactor hydro-excavation equipment for waste removal and site remediation. Pick up and transport drums and containerized waste from customer sites. Transport non-hazardous and hazardous materials to licensed disposal facilities. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic equipment maintenance. Complete required shipping documents, manifests, and daily logs accurately. Follow all DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations. Assist field crews with general remediation tasks as needed. Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for emergency spill response.
What We're Looking For
Valid CDL Class A or B license with tanker and hazmat endorsements
Clean driving record
Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Able to lift 50+ lbs and handle drums safely
Mechanically inclined—you can troubleshoot basic equipment issues
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently
Flexibility for occasional after-hours emergency calls
