ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Prepare and assist with preparing surfaces to be coated by means of sandblasting, hand sanding, grinding, pressure washing, cleaning with solvent and wiping with cleaning cloth.
• Perform spray coatings, as well as hand application of paints, two-part epoxy and other specialty coatings.
• Clean Spray pumps after each use as well as tools and sandblasting equipment.
• Operate Man lifts.
• Utilize different painting techniques as needed.
• Mix paint when needed and use paint manufacturers spec sheet recommendations for proper mixing application and recoat times.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
• 1 or more years of industrial or commercial paint experience preferred.
• OSHA 10 Certified or willing to get certified.
• Must be able to lift 55 pounds and climb step ladders.
• Ability to operate airless spray equipment and ability to mix paint.
• Must be able to work in a team-based environment.
• Must be able to wear a respirator, have excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Must be able to distinguish among colors.
• Must have a valid License.
