I cannot believe this hasn't Sold in a heartbeat. There just isn't enough people doing creative Woodworking here in NH.
This would make an Awesome Present to Yourself!
Update: I had a person write to me and this is what he said. He found this info online, Introduced in the 1948 tool catalog and disappeared from the 1968 tool catalog. Therefore, this was in production for 20 years.
I assumed it was Older by evaluating the Electric Motor. But if this one is from the 40s or 1950s, that's pretty old!
I am assuming back in the day, this saw was sold without an electric motor, and then you added your own. Many old timers will tell you that to be true of Most Electric Tools back in the day. They would use washing machine motors and whatever else they could find.
I have asked some Older gents and here is what they said: Many Tools were sold that way back in the day.
My assumption is this SAW was sold as a unit Without a motor, and you add your own! That would be my assumption. I say that because you need to make your own "Platform" to set it up on as well. So, the electric motor is not a good way to estimate the year. Frankly it doesn't really matter, these Saws were the same for some 20 years. You can attach any motor you like. Comes with this awesome Antique Motor.
The last Picture is of the "Tag" on the electric motor.

This was my grandfathers passed down to me and I am 66 now. I don't have the large workshop I used to have, so I must part with this Saw.
I am surmising it is from around late 1930"s into the late 1940's? Based on the Electric Motor.

This has the ability to take the tiniest blades so thin you can hardly see them. Very Nice Deep throat.
The table does Tilt and is a good size. There is a little surface rust because it has been in and out of my truck and it rains constantly. I sanded it off in 1 minute and it looks like new.
