Approximately 18" long when open or closed. Very heavy and solid. Crank works smooth. Replaceable jaws. There don't seem to be too many out there of this model but my research came up with the following: 4 5/8 " jaws. 74 lbs. Made between 1935-1960. Cash only local pick up only. Thanks, Mark
