We are a female-fronted acoustic group (guitar, bass, keys) covering variety easy listening music from the 60s-90s and we are looking for a percussionist (with vocals would be a plus but not a must) to add to the group when the venue allows. We mainly play the dinner music scene so we are not really looking for a full on drum kit sound...only looking for something soft; similar to cajón, shakers, maybe some tambourine? This is an extremely low paying situation at the moment but hopefully as we get our name out there more, we can get some higher paying gigs. The guitarist and I started the group about a year ago as a duo and started gigging as soon as we got a couple sets together. We slowly started to add piano and bass and it’s working well so we thought a percussionist would round things out nicely. Right now, we play 3 different venues between Peterborough and Keene which are pretty consistent gigs for now. Our rehearsals are usually Tuesdays during the day (11am) so please consider that before replying. I see a lot of posts mention age so if that matters to anyone, I’m 33 and the rest of the guys are 50s (ish?). Our song selection is super fun but kinda all over the place so feel free to message me for more info outside of what is listed on the website.
There is a song sample on our site (www.granitepeach.com) as well as videos on our Facebook page. Check us out and if interested in learning more, we’d love to hear from you.
