I sanded and stained it but it came out darker than I wanted. If you like the color you can just polyurethane, or you can paint over the stain. There are several various length pieces including two pieces that are 15+ feet long. The stain color is sort of a mahogany brown (medium - dark). The two pictures I provided as a sample are of the same piece. The color in the two pictures vary because of the lighting. If interested I can take a photo or provide the lengths of all the pieces.
