Seeking an experienced carpenter (with a helper) for a 1-day, 20-foot beam repair and wrap. A load-bearing beam, half-exposed against a wall, has localized rot right at the joint where it meets the vertical support post. I need the beam sistered, the load properly supported (jack stud/post sistering), and then BOTH the 20-foot horizontal span and the vertical post wrapped in a custom pine/cedar box to look like a solid, uniform rustic timber frame. I will cover all material costs directly. Need someone who understands structural load transfers and clean splice joints for the finish wood. Please message with your day-rate.
