Position Title: Mason Tender
Reports To: Foreman
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Position Summary:
Mason tenders are responsible for completing a wide range of tasks that support skilled trade position such as Foreman, Masons, and Operators. The laborer position is critical to ensuring project operations proceed smoothly and efficiently in the field by ensuring equipment is setup appropriately, supplies are transported and distributed on site, and maintaining a clean job site. Mason tenders are responsible for adhering to state, federal, and company safety standards and reporting any potential safety hazards or violations.
Position Description:
• Prepare and distribute masonry units (brick, stone, and block).
• Directs traffic near, in, or around work zones.
• Mix, prepare, and distribute adhesives such as mortar and tools for skilled trade positions.
• Set up and take down equipment such as scaffolding, mixers, tools, and machinery.
• Motions equipment operator to assist with alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
• Adhere to all applicable safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Reports potential safety hazards and violations to site foreman as needed.
• Operates a wide variety of power tools including heavy machinery and equipment.
• Cleans and organizes job site at the end of the day and as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Possess an OSHA 10 – Construction certification.
• Possess a valid and unexpired driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow instructions and possess a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Technical/vocational school program completion preferred.
• Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or a related field.

• Must be able to lift, move (push/pull), and carry up to 50 pounds alone.
• Must be able to lift, move (push/pull), and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work at night when needed.
