We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join our growing construction team. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of commercial carpentry tasks, including constructing, installing, repairing, and finishing structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other building materials. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship while working collaboratively with project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform commercial carpentry work including framing, installation, finishing, and general construction tasks.
Prepare jobsites prior to project startup, ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are ready for work.
Safely operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials and equipment on project sites.
Coordinate with and oversee work performed by subcontractors as directed.
Complete punch list items to ensure projects meet quality standards prior to turnover.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Submit accurate daily timecards and maintain required project documentation.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous commercial carpentry or construction experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings is a plus.
Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, kneel, climb ladders, bend, and work in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
Comfortable working on active commercial construction sites while following all safety protocols.
