This is a Circa 1905 McLaughlin Cutter made in Oshawa Canada. McLaughlin Carriage Company was the predecessor of General Motors of Canada and of course General Motors Corporation. It is a fascinating story. This sleigh had previously been repainted but has been recoated, but not stripped, and the upholstery has been redone in appropriate real Mohair Velvet. All of the metal save the boot scrapes have been re-nickel coated. It has the small childrens jump seat in the front and is an extremely solid usable sleigh, and is a dream to drive!
