Do you want quality furniture that lasts generations or new stuff that will be at sitting at the curb a few years from now?
My mother remembers these pieces from when she visited her aunt in the 1940s. Not sure how old they were at that point. They have now outlived my brother - he hadn't even been born when the aunt was alive. You probably don't care. You should care that this is stamped "Vermont Rock Maple" on 2 of the 4 pieces. It is heavy, sturdy, and you would pay a fortune to get this level of quality if you bought new. Is it perfect? No. The 4-drawer end table and the mirror are very nice looking. The other pieces display a patinated look that some find charming. Others will want to refinish. Either way plan on getting a few generations more enjoyment.
Nice dove-tailed joints. Hardwood wheels! No plastic anywhere. This is the real deal.
Look carefully at the photos for dimensions and condition.
Cash Please. A helper is a good idea but they are at ground level and can be rolled out. No stairs. Even with the drawers removed the bureau is very heavy.
