Mailbox Post and Iron EZ Post Install Bracket
The Easy Install Bracket cost 35.00 ~ The 2 posts are screwed together where they are mortised and cross with 7) - 2.5 inch screws!
4 from 1 side and 3 coming from the other side. Thats not coming apart on its own.
Picture 5 is the 2 items you will have to deal with. Pic 6 shows how the Wood Post slips in the bracket and you tighten 2 Bolts. That is a 5-minute process.
To begin with you drive the Sharp Point of your Bracket into the ground where you want your mailbox. Use a Large Hammer like a 5 lb short or long handled sledgehammer. (you could do it with whatever you want, even a rock).
Then decide your height for your mail carrier. They have standards, you can look it up online. You may have to trim this post as I always make them longer, so they can be trimmed in length to fit your circumstance. So, another 5-minute job at most. Sometimes they are located on the edge of a culvert which can dip down, so I make them long enough.
This is made of used 4x4 PT wood, so it is nice and dry and will soak up your Stain or Paint easily. No waiting 6 months for it to dry out, otherwise latex stain or paint will peel right off.
