This is the first generation keyfob without the passive entry function. Has the 'MODEL 3' text printed on the body. Need to press the unlock button to unlock the doors and/or authorize the car for driving. Also can press on the various parts of it to open frunk / trunk, lock, summon, open charge port, etc.
**NOTE: This is NOT the later generation unit (the one with 'TESLA' text), where you don't need to press the unlock button to get in the car and drive it. Some people might like that later model for more convenience, some people may like this original type for better security (can't be passively snooped).**
