I'm sorry to let this one go! We have had it for 8 years and used it for everything from local trips to cross-country vacations, sometimes towing a camper. It's an incredibly dependable vehicle but it no longer fits our needs.
I will list the good and the bad so no one has to waste time looking at something that was not advertised correctly.
The good:
- Extremely dependable truck. I hadn't touched it in a few weeks and it started right up, as always. I would trust that I could get in run it to Texas right now
- Complete back brakes (calipers, rotors, pads, rubber lines) were done about a year and a half ago
- Complete front brakes were done in September of 2025
- 4 new shocks installed and newly replaced exhaust from the catalytic converter to the rear of the vehicle last year
- Inspected & passed Sept 2025
- New battery in Feb of this year
- New windshield last week. Bad luck with a rock hitting it a month ago
- Oil changed every 3,000 miles
- Tires are in good shape with plenty of tread
- Mechanically sound and everything works, including the 4WD
- Heat & air work. All gauges work, including the overhead console
- Interior is in decent shape - one rip in the drover's seat seem. The middle seats fold down and lay flat is needed. The rerar bench seats are easily removable. You can fit 4' X 8' sheets in the back and still close the doors
The bad:
- As shown the pictures, the rear rockers need work.
- There are a couple of spots in the wheel well that could use some patching also
- There are a few areas of surface rust on the body but nothing serious
In the end, this is a very good runner. Now that NH inspections are gone, you could get some great use our of it as is. This is also a great candidate for someone to make a project out if it. I would hazard to say, for a few thousand in body work, it could be easily restored into something awesome.
Excursions tend to run for a long time and many go for over 350,000 miles. Plenty of room to run here, at 185,000.
If this post is up, the vehicle is still for sale.
