Up for sale is my 1991 Mazda MX-5 Miata modified with an LS1 V8 engine paired to a 6-speed T56 transmission. Selling because I have a 3 year old and just don't have the time to enjoy the car. I'm going to list many of the modifications to the car below but odds are I'll forget a fair number of them so feel free to ask me about anything I don't include. This is a running, functioning, V8 Miata that will light the tires up through 3rd gear without a problem.
The Miata is a BRG version which, for reasons unknown to me, got re-sprayed with a slightly green/blue color prior to my ownership. Engine bay, door jams and the like remain BRG. You know the typical Miata rust along the rockers? This car has none of that.
Subframes (engine mount, transmission mount, frame rails, differential mount) are by Boss Frog. The drive shaft and half-shafts were also part of a Boss Frog conversion kit but are ultimately from The Driveshaft Shop. I opted for the higher HP offering for the shafts...600HP capable if memory serves correctly.
Custom exhaust with cross-over pipe and dual exhaust outlets. Single muffler.
Wheels are TRMotorsport C1Ms, tires are Dunlop Direzza ZIIs.
The engine is cammed and tuned north of 400HP by Slowhawk Performance. I have the dyno sheets available. The engine, transmission and associated wiring came from a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am. The engine accessories have been replaced with Corvette/CTS-V parts to reduce the engine's length.
In addition to the car itself you'll get the title and all the extra parts I have. No, this isn't me trying to clean out the garage; all parts included will be of value. This includes things like a Corvette intake which will go a long way in cleaning up the engine bay.
Things that haven't been addressed yet include: the speedometer (have the parts to make this work), general wiring harness cleanup, Corvette Intake and hood latches (parts available), corner balance, alignment.
I'm happy to haggle if you present me with a factual argument of why your price is valid.
