It was the late 1960's and Joyce Byers was looking for holiday decorations with warmth that showed respect for timeless traditions and her own memories of Christmas. The first Carolers graced the Byers' dining room table that Christmas, and they received compliments from all of the relatives. So many friends wanted the Carolers that with her husband in 1978, they hired their first employee, and turned the garage into a workshop. Since 1986, Byers' Choice Caroler Figurines have had a green felt ring and dated gold seal on the bottom of each base.

Standing over 12 inches tall, my late-bride bought these new and we displayed them for many years on the mantle. Now time for someone else to enjoy. Today the company sells these new for $82 and up.
