This 1983 Bristol 24 has undergone a COMPLETE REFIT, including an inboard Yanmar diesel engine, total electrical system, marine head and water system, solar battery charging, blue water navigation gear (no radar, but I have a Raymarine Dome currently unmounted), life lines, 6 foot boarding ladder, cutlass bearing, dual batteries, and the list goes on. She looks and sails like a new boat! She is a rugged, classic masthead sloop that has earned her reputation as a capable, heavy-weather "pocket cruiser". She features a 3,000 lb lead ballast, 5,920 lb displacement, 3’5” draft, a spotless bilge, a spacious 6-foot headroom in the saloon, and she is ready to launch as of the writing of this offer.

Because of her full-keel design, she tracks well and offers excellent righting capabilities, making it highly reliable for coastal cruising. Her nearly 300 square feet of sail area provides plenty of power and the 5-foot cockpit offers comfortable seating for a small crew. She features two cabins, a marine head, galley with alcohol stove, sink, and ice box. She is trimmed out with satin-finished mahogany. This Bristol 24 can sleep 5 but is best for a couple who are looking for an affordable, cruising/live aboard vessel that is safe, easy to single hand, and ideal for week end (or longer) cruising.

I have been sailing for over 50 years and have a lot of extra gear, anything and everything you may need to start cruising. Boat stands are included in this sale, and I have a 300 mushroom anchor on Chebeague Island, ME (Chebeague Island Boat Yard) if you are thinking of a mooring too.

Finally, I will offer you storage this winter at no charge. You need only to insure the boat.
