This wonderful 12 foot recreational kayak is in perfect condition and is ideal for a beginner or experienced paddler of a medium-large size. The hull is constructed of a premium hull material...a kevlar composite that makes the boat both very durable and very light during use and transport. Features include two sealed bulkheads for buoyancy and safety, ergonomic easily adjusted foot rests, a comfortable adjustable seat with back rest, front and rear storage hatches, ample bungees for securing gear on the deck, and a large cockpit opening (18.5" x 39") for easy in and out. This kayak is 27" wide and has a soft chine hull. It is stable and tracks nicely through the water. Though other kayak models are available from Current Design in this kevlar composite, Kestrels are now available only with cheaper polyethylene plastic which is far heavier. This Kestrel is a rare find. The boat sold for $2500 when it was last available in this hull material. This is a fantastic light weight kayak for use on a wide variety of waterways at a very very good price. The boat is located in Campton, NH, but can be transported to Morristown, VT, for consideration.
