This collectible 1990 copy of the book “Shelter” by Lloyd Kahn, first published in 1973, is a seminal architecture/building reference book focusing on hand-built dwellings worldwide. This significant and influential work in the "alternative architecture" movement features numerous photographs and illustrations and explores world history, evolution, and various methods and materials used in architecture and housing. The cover features a 19th-century illustration of a Kalmyk nomad yurt interior. Originally published by Shelter Publications, this copy is identical to the original. Softcover. Excellent condition - some very minor wear on cover. From my personal collection in a non-smoking, no pets home.
