This vintage book, “Ever New England”, is a step back to a simpler time through a collection of scenic photography by the renowned American photographer, Samuel Chamberlain. Published originally in 1944 (4th printing May 1, 1946) by Hastings House, the book features approximately 277 full-page black-and-white photographs capturing the historic and scenic landmarks of New England during the 1940s. The content includes images of historic houses, harbors, and landmarks across all six New England states, including several Seacoast NH cities/towns - Portsmouth, Exeter, Rochester, Hampton Falls, Durham, and New Castle. Great vintage condition. Dust jacket has some wear, a name has been written on two front pages and there is some slight separations in the binding. No pages are torn or ripped. From my personal collection in a non-smoking, no pets home.
