a nice copy of the original 1890 1st ed of BLACK BEAUTY by A Sewell published by Lothrop Publishing - Boston with green cover embossed with horse head in an oval surrounded by floral/leaf design.... 245 pgs with section about American Humane Education Society. (original first ed was 1911 in UK by Jarrold & Sons - very rare) This is 1st American edition. Available for the collector by appointment in Dover..12 miles north of Portsmouth NH.
