Ralph Waldo Emerson, Essays, complete first and second series, Published by A L Burt, New York, I would say 1900 or 1901.
Burgundy cloth binding, gold on top edge only, good condition for its age, 406 pages, 5.25" x 7.5"
There is an inscription on the overleaf, and some pencil notation regarding readings recommended by a friend.
