The bike was just fully tuned, lubed and derailleurs and brakes adjusted, brand new tan wall tires installed.
New cushioned bar tape and new brake hoods just installed.
15 speed drivetrain with Suntour derailleurs and bar end shifters and caliper brakes.
Brand new, period correct Avocet Touring saddle and original Jim Blackburn rear rack.
Straight and true alloy rims.
Chain stays have been touched up.
The frame is double butted chromoly tubing that was manufactured with the same technique as the piping used for guns. It was bored out lengthwise using a round steel rod. This produced a very unusual quality tubing for use in bicycles. This bike is slightly lighter in weight than Trek 520/720 touring bikes, but of similar quality.
