Vintage WWI US Army Tycos Type B Altimeter (0 - 20,000 ft) likely used by the US Army’s Aviation Section, Signal Corps during WWI. The Aviation Section was the precursor to the modern-day US Air Force from 1914-1918. Manufactured by Tycos, Inc, which was the trade name for the Taylor Instrument Company starting in 1908.
