Vintage Cuckoo Clock Mfg Co., Made in West Germany, Clock Work Model: 455
Identification: On the brass of the clock work and white stamping on the bird and leaf piece.
Clock generally known as “Black Forest”or “Leaf Bird” Cuckoo Clock. This is a traditional Cuckoo clock style. Inner working seem to be made from brass. Everything is original except for the hands which I replaced the broken ones with 3D printed ones that I designed to look like the old ones.
This Clock has WHITE Lettering printed on it: Cuckoo Clock Co. Inc. West Germany on the back of the ‘leaf’.
It’s believed to be from the early 50’s (family member purchased it while he was in the Navy, during Korean War: June 1950 to July 1953)

Size: 10”H x 7.25”W x 6”D (9.5H x 6.7W x 5.75D)
Type and Weights: 1-Day Clock, Weight: 320 gr or 275 gr (est. std. weight).
Hands: Minute Hand is in Front (long hand), Hour Hand is in the Back (short hand).

• This Model was NOT Manufactured with a Gong (no Gong and no wire)
• Runs around $31 (w/shp.) for Parts only on ebay. Over $75 for a working unit!
• This is a One Day Clock
• This model was First Manufactured in 1941 through 1969 in Germany by the Cuckoo Clock Mfg. Co.
• This unit was Manufactured in Germany by the Cuckoo Clock Mfg. Co. sometime in the early 1950’s.
• It cuckoo once every half hour. And cuckoo calls on the hour for the number of times representing the number of hours (so 12 times for noon or midnight).
• All plywood construction except one half of the bird looks solid.
• The mechanical are in excellent shape
• The two Bellows (that make the cuckoo sound) are in good shape.
