The kimono where prepared for storage and boxed by a Conservator with affiliation to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. There are 10 cases, containing painted and embroidered wedding, painted/embroidered Children’s, and number of Obi. One particularly beautiful white and gold Wedding Kimono was featured in a magazine article 40 years ago. This Kimono was purchased form the August Mon Shop in Provence Town.
There are too many to list, I have: embroidered orange /red wedding, white/gold embroidered wedding, Ecru wedding, Uchikaka wedding, Boys and Girls hand painted Festival, Boys Ceremonial, lavender and pink obi, along with many others.
I will unpack, photograph, and count the number of pieces for a serious buyer. I am selling them as a lot.
I also have many pieces of Blue and white porcelain that I am selling
The collection includes approximately 15 children's kimono's, 10 wedding kimono's, 6 Obi's, 2 short jackets.
