A beautiful tea caddy made between 1870 and 1885. The cloisonne was done on pottery. The reason that they made these items for such a short period was that too many pieces broke when fired and it became too expensive to produce. The caddy measures at 5" tall by 4 1/4" wide. It is signed on the lid and on the bottom of the caddy. There are no problems with this piece.
