This 8 x 12 inch oil painting is part of a series that I painted while living in the Green Mountains of Vermont. There was an abandoned dirt, back country road across for my house that was 17 miles long and afforded endless opportunities for painting compositions. My favorite season was autumn. I hiked this road countless times in 24 years and cross country skied it in winter. This is quintessential Vermont woods captured in oil paint.
