I Need:
A place with a high-speed Internet connection, which is close to a
market where i can get food (i choose not to own a car). The location
is flexible, I am currently living in Northern VT.
I found my current apartment using this same method and i have
references (as well as degrees and portfolio of websites, etc).
I need the place from the 15th of November for two or three months
(depending on the work). I also paid some of the rent for my current
apartment, so it can be a mix of labor and money in exchange for a
place.
1) At least two bedrooms, (I am married and have a stepson)
2) Parking for at least two cars
3) Pets must be allowed, (I have one cat and two small dogs, all are well behaved. I can provide references that they have never damaged property)
4) Must be available for yearly lease. I hate moving and want to stay put as long as possible.
5) Must be relatively close to Keene State College
6) VERY IDEAL to move in as soon as possible. I have the funds to provide all monies needed for rent/deposit immediately, and would love to make an arrangement where a lease can be signed immediately upon a successful viewing.
I am a mature adult and will respect your property as something I am borrowing from a friend. Anyone that I have ever rented from always had their property returned in better shape than they gave it to me. I am a non-smoker however my wife does smoke. She never smokes in the house however out of respect for me.
Given that I will not be there 100% of the time I would consider a rental situation whereas I share the place and use it when the owner is not there. This would be my second choice however.

Very quiet, trustworthy (work as an ind. contractor for a cleaning company, key holder for various companies), love sports on in the background but like to write so spending time doing that is what I enjoy most (WIFI would also be a big plus!). I"m starting a business so it may be I take off for a month or two in January (winter break), but nothing's set yet either.
The Area :
Set in a charming and pristine rural area, known as a Four Season vacation area. This area's popularity is the nearby skiing and two of the state's cleanest lakes in the state. People come here for the unspoiled, non commercialized and scenic setting. Extensive hiking/biking trail system throughout. Two miles to a sandy shallow swimming area on Sunapee. Four Miles to center of charming and well known New London. 15 minutes to Sunapee or Ragged Mtn Ski. 1.5 hours to most skiing in all of NH or VT.
The Home :
This three year old 2400 square foot contemporary cape home sits on two acres with untouched 200 wooded acres adjacent for full privacy and tranquility. Spotted on the property have been: bear, moose, turkey, rabbit. This home features a large, fully applianced and stocked kitchen, with a working island, gas stove, all windows bump out breakfast nook overlooking the woods and a small field.
It is a long story, but for now what i can say is that, I am 23 i am clean, do not smoke or do drugs, and am very quiet but do not mind being social. I have a daughter who is 19 months old, whose mom moved up to portsmouth with her family recently after winning custody. I can't live without seeing my little girl and the situation i am in here won't really permit it, and is really only temporary so i have to figure something out anyway. When i get there i won't have much most likely, except my own vehicle and clothes (maybe a few dollars in my pocket). I could use a couch to sleep on if at all possible or at least an address or phone number to put on applications if you are willing. Once up there i plan on finding a job and getting back in school (really i'll take the first work i can get though). I already know it will take me some time to get on my feet and i may not have much at first but will help out around wherever i am staying, cook, clean, do whatever i can and may be able to contiribute a bit financially once i find a job. I do not party, like to stay out late or even really watch tv.
Truthfully, though i am a mellow, drama free individual who doesn't do drugs or smoke or anything I will admit i am not perfect and have not always been a saint, but i am honest about it for the asking. Any infomaition or help i can get would be most appreciated, and as i said i'll be moving up there around the end of october or later, so feel free to ask anything you need beforehand.

- Cable or internet accessible (fairly necessary as I take classes online)

Although I am trying to keep my options open the preferences listed above are very important to me and should please be taken into consideration before replying back.
As for me, I'm a laid back, friendly, 33 year old, straight, male, Massachusetts native. I expect the majority of my time to be occupied with work, school (online) and taking day trips on my motorcycle, even in the winter. Hi I am really trying to find a quite home living situation with only one other room mate or a basement apartment. someone like myself late fourties on up ( male or female) a career oriented person non partier non smoking enviornment (as I am allergic to cigeratte and cigar smoke) please be pet friendly. I have one sweet gentle lab sweet friendly getting on in his years. He is quite and sleeps alot now. I would like to find something away from the busy city and with a little land to run with my puppie.. I run and operate my own business on the sea coast now for five years and I am hardly ever home so when I am I really just like to chill no loud music unless it's the sound of country cricketts!...I am quite up light hearted! joyful! and considerate person and keep to my self mostly because of heavy schedule. but I am a warm person friendly and outgoing just not a partier at all. . I recently graduated x-ray school & once I get settled in somewhere (housing-wise) I intend to be very focused on getting my state exam taken and finding an x-ray job…
Additionally, I am considering taking some online courses in order to work on obtaining my bachelors degree in x-ray.
I am a very focused & goal oriented individual…so I predict I will be very busy in the upcoming months…
When I’m home relaxing, I enjoy watching movies and spending time on the computer—(surfing the net or whatever)—so I’m very quiet. I absolutely must have internet access; I would take internet over cable if I had to choose as I pay all my bills online and everything. I rarely even get standard mail anymore; all my bills come to me online.
I can’t cook to save my life, so I generally, eat quick easy stuff like pop tarts & cereal. I would prefer that I just buy my own food rather than split a grocery bill. I’m not half bad at baking however I rarely have the time to do it anymore.
I would live best with someone who respected my privacy, and was considerate. In times previous when I’ve had roommates—things that really bothered me included:
Keeping me up late when I have to get up early for work or school
Taking my stuff without asking / entering my room without permission and
Eating my food I’ve bought special for myself.
Other than that I feel I am pretty easy going…I have hopes that my new roommate will also become a friend. I would like to live with someone who is social like me and easy going but doesn’t makes reckless or impulsive decisions…
I am in serious need of maturity, stability, & consistency from a potential roommate & in my life right now. I really need a living situation that can be somewhat permanent as I simply can’t even stand the thought of another move anytime soon…I desperately need to get a little settled, and I don’t want to move in with someone who hasn’t really thought sincerely about what it would mean to share their living space with another person. If your someone who is incredibly particular of how you do things in your home a roommate might not be they best choice for you. Because of past experiences, I absolutely must insist on a minimum of a 3 or 4 month leasing agreement between parties….
I have no interest in living with someone who wants to party all the time or has a crazy lifestyle. Having our friends over on occasion to watch a football game or a movie, or to BBQ is one thing; I just don’t want to live with anyone who is consistently hosting house parties. I don’t do drugs and I don’t smoke and I must insist on the same from my roommate as I am allergic to cigarette smoke. I rarely drink and when I do it is generally socially or the occasional glass of wine at home.
As mentioned I separated from my spouse a few months ago and in this new phase of my life my focus is to be productive & focused in regards to my career goals…and I hope to make some new friends and do some things I’ve always wanted to but never found the time for. I recently started dating again, and I would want it to be okay for me to have the occasional guest in my room, be it a friend of mine from NH, a boyfriend should I end up with one or whatever--I just need that to be okay. I don’t foresee a time when I would ever have more than one guest over at a time, but if a situation such as that presented itself I would of course clear it with my roommate to be certain it wouldn’t be a problem for them. I just don’t want my friends or family who’ve commuted a long distance to visit with me to have to drive home late at night or whatnot. I feel if I am paying to rent a space from you…I should have a decent amount of control over that space. In a recent situation I wanted to have a friend of mine over who I’ve know for 8+ years to watch a movie with me one night after work; and the roommate I had at the time wouldn’t allow it….I just feel this sort of thing is unfair. Clearly--going through a divorce is a tough experience and I do get lonesome sometimes and want to be able to reach out to my friends/family for comfort & support--thus, again I feel it should be largely my prerogative what guests I have in my space just so long as I’m not disrupting anyone else.
I am looking for something between 400 & 500 (max) per month (everything included). I want to just be able pay a flat rate bi-weekly, it’s just easier for me. I need an arrangement where I can pay half of my rent out of my first check of the month and the second half out of my second check of the month.
The only piece of furniture that I really have—to speak of—is a new bob-o-pedic queen sized bed, which I intend to take with me—wherever I end up. I won’t be putting this in storage due to the fact that there is too much risk it would become damaged & it isn’t even paid off yet. Any other furniture I might have could probably be stored if necessary (I have a couple night stands, a table, a small heavy duty coffee table, a small entertainment center, & a TV stand thing).
If a small amount of storage was available this would work out well for me; as I have a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom (i.e. towels & other house ware items that I wouldn’t need on hand, but wouldn’t want to throw away) it would be unlikely I would need much of that stuff—since you probably already have those sorts of things…
I’ve been very discouraged by how lately it seems that no one will even consider renting to me with my dog. However, I urge you not to disqualify me solely on this basis. My baby girl is very good, especially for a puppy… She seldom barks but does so mostly when I vacuum. I keep her kenneled when she has to be home alone—which is generally just when I have to work.
I will soon be likely transferring to the North Reading Wal-Mart where I will work as a Pharmacy Tech--which is what I do now in a NH Walmart. Since I have a dog and since I kennel her when I am at work, I was looking for something close to the North Reading Wal-Mart so I can make it home on my lunch breaks to walk her and get back to work within an hour.
I often take my dog with me when I run errands or go out for a day, she is my best buddy. I am absolutely in no way willing to part with my dog, I love her way to much—and I’ve already had quite a-lot taken from me in the past few months (like my marriage). My puppy is very friendly, current on all shots and spayed. She is still a puppy nevertheless & does sometimes get sudden bursts of energy; although mostly she’s really just a big love bug. As an outlet for her youthful energy and as an opportunity to bond with her and get fresh air I try to take her for walks as often as I can...and she likes to play fetch (although she hasn’t quite grasped the concept of giving up the ball once she’s fetched it, LOL). She sleeps with me in my bed & she likes to get under the covers….I swear….she thinks she’s human….She is almost entirely potty trained, but I won’t lie she still has the occasional accident. However, I’m not the type of person who is lazy or likes living in filth so I ALWAYS clean up after her even outside. I can provide two references to attest to the fact that my animal is not destructive to furniture or rental properties in any way. I keep her well-stocked with chew toys---she has tones of them and every raw hide you can imagine. As a result, I VERY rarely catch her chewing on anything that doesn’t belong to her or which has any type of real value.

I'm looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom in a decent neighborhood. I'm trying to stay in the McDonnough School district, Hanover Hill area. That's where we are now and I love this neighborhood. The size of the apartment isn't a huge issue but it must be condusive to a two person family's daily living needs. A fully operational kitchen is a must - a full size working stove/oven, a fridge and enough cabinet space for food and dishes. A styand up shower in the bathroom would be ok. A porch or small yard would be a huge plus but not totally nessecary. No bugs/rodents or insane neighbors. We have two cats, both fixed and very friendly, mostly lazy and they stay indoors.
I can comfortably pay up to $850 per month with heat included. The heat is a must, I can't even consider something unheated. My rent is my priority and is paid on time. I can provide landlord references from 2 of my previous landlords and though my current landlord will probably not be happy that I'm going to have to break my lease, she can attest that my rent has been on time every month and we haven't given her any issues.
