I am trying to form a Direct Selling Business Owners networking group in the Manchester area. My goal is to work with consultants from a variety of companies (Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Stampin' Up, etc) to share ideas and help each other grow and market our businesses. I am a Creative Memories consultant based in Manchester and I think this could be a good way to increase everyone's business. I've looked into networking groups, but they a)charged too much money to join and b) the network group model didn't help Direct Sales businesses.

The Hampton Mothers Alliance group is for Stay-At-Home Moms and Part-Time Working moms (and their wonderful children) in the Hampton area (North Hampton, Hampton, Hampton Falls, and Seabrook) of NH. This is for children born AFTER September, 2003. We will be meeting for weekly playgroups at local parks during the nice weather season, or at members homes on rainy days. When the cool weather returns, we will resume meeting at each others' homes.

The purpose is of this group is to form an "alliance" or connected group of moms so we can support and help each other through the good and tough times in the Hampton public school system. Our kids are going to be together during their schooling experience. They should get to know each other now to ease the transition when they finally start school.

This group will work best for those moms who are/will be active and involved in their child(ren)'s education and extracurricular activities. We may start sports teams, music groups, activity groups, etc... who knows! The Weebles Playgroup is for seacoast, NH moms and their wonderful children born after July, 2005. We have been an active group since July, 2006 currently with 32 members online (44 offline). The group consists of stay-at-home moms and part-time working moms who reside in Portsmouth, Dover, Durham, Lee, Hampton, Hampton Falls, North Hampton, Seabrook, Exeter, Newfields, Newmarket, Epping, Rye, Greenland, and Stratham. This group is built on many wonderful volunteers and will remain FREE OF CHARGE, even as our children enter elementary school and we transition into an "activity group".

We meet weekly for playgroups at members' homes (in any of the towns listed above) or at a public park during nice weather. Day of the week and time are dependent on the hostesses' preference. There is no set day of the week or time, as we don't want to exclude working moms or children with nap time conflicts. We also meet once a month for birthday celebrations and moms night out.

We occasionally have seasonal activities, such as spring plantings, trip to the Boston Aquarium, beach outings, pool parties, family BBQs, spring/summer picnics, winter sledding, apple picking, zoo trips, and much, much more!

And we are open to your suggestions, too, for Moms Night Out, seasonal activities, and anything else you may want to recommend.

A fibromyalgia self-help group is in the works. Meetings to be held in Concord once monthly, start time estimated to be late afternoon during the week.

In the past, many such support groups have done their best to keep going, but have fizzled over time. It's understandable, just given the very nature of fibromyalgia and the unpredictability we all endure! As an alternative to the face-to-face meeting, a website that will contain a "Chat" page will be established for those unable to attend a meeting.

We are calling this a self-help group, with support, education and advocacy as important goals. We know that there is so little out there for those of us afflicted with this chronic illness, and still so much more that needs to be done in terms of research and promotion. So I do believe the time is right for forming a group and having our voices heard.

The NH Rock Climbing June Meeting

Hello Everyone! Welcome to the NH rock climbing meetup! I live in Barrington, NH (about 15 min from Dover) and joined the Boston meet up, however they meet far from my house and it was hard to meet up. I decided WE needed a meetup closer to NH. After seeing how many others were thinking the same thing I wanted to step up and begin one! I have a climbing gym in the barn behind my house (how convenient for meet ups!) There are four walls, several ropes and hundreds of holds, lots to play on! I have gear to share if you don't have any. The gym is run as a non profit ( donations are accepted) and a signed waiver is required. Don't worry if you don't know how to belay I can teach you. I am hoping to meet some new members at this meeting and see returning faces! Also I am looking for anyone interested in being asst. organizers, coming to this meeting will help. Looking forward to meeting you all! :) Another note: I do have a child and will be hosting some climbs w/ families included. It's fun to include the little ones once in a while so if you have children look for these meetups.
