ellO gallery&shop is offering up an open call for the exhibit "Cram It!�, which will open August 6th and continue until Sept. 8th. The concept: cramming the gallery with as much dirt cheap art as possible. The show is a wide open call to artists to squeeze in as much as possible. Unlike our usual process, where the work stays during the entire run of the exhibit, buyers of the art are invited to take it when they purchase it, hopefully leaving our gallery near-empty by the end of the exhibition!

So, basically $10 retail price is the magical number, but we will be selling pieces for as much as $20. (Hint: a series of small works that fit together can add up nicely if you are able to sell a whole set).

For this show we are doing a special process where we will be accepting most all artists� work who applies. PLEASE try to stay as contemporary as possible. We can define what we mean if you have questions. We definitely want to sell your work, but we would like it to deviate from art that has been widely established in the area. Let�s all branch out and get truly creative!

With your submission, please include the following information:

- PRICING NOTE: for this show pieces will be sold for a maximum of $20, and our commission is 50/50. This is your opportunity to basically sell off things you are looking to unload.

- What type of medium/materials you use, etc.

- If the work will be hanging (wall/from ceiling), sculptural or whatever else.

- The number of pieces you�d like to include for consideration for the exhibition. Since we are filling the gallery as much as possible we can accept varying amounts of work depending on size/format/etc. We will be displaying art in every space possible.

Generally this exhibition will revolve around pieces that you have already completed. We would appreciate photos of work you would like us to put in. We will more than likely accept everyone who applies for the show. We�ve gotta cram it!

All of this information is VERY important to us in helping to plan the show. The more information you give us, the better.

Absolute Deadline for finished product: Sat. Aug. 2nd, 2008

We will NOT be accepting last-minute submissions, so please stick to the deadline.

On the Nashua river in an historic mill building, this is a beautiful studio space on the ground level that is shared with 1 other visual artist. Your share would be about 500 square feet.

The studio includes windows with an inspirational river view, heat, a sink with running hot water and access to a shared bathroom on the same floor. Not sure about the free WiFi that is starting to happen in downtown Nashua yet, but we might have access to it; if not, we could make arrangements to have the studio wired at a shared cost. Please be mature, flexible, considerate and open to working creatively on your own and with other artists.

Rent includes pro-rated heat and electricity: 250.00; you pay for use above pro-rated fees. You are responsible for your own trash removal--no dumpster services provided, and clean-up.

There is also the opportunity to show your work in our gallery which is open by appointment and for Nashua Artwalks during the year. There is a small participation fee and a separate gallery acceptance process.

This is a well established creative arts building with many opportunities for networking and building community in downtown Nashua.

Call for Artists: The NAAA(Nashua Area Artists Association) is looking for artists to join our Greeley Park Art Show in Nashua, NH on August 16-17, 2008. Full details can be found on www.naaasite.org under Greeley Park Art Show button. You can download an application and a set of guidelines.

Average Cost is $75./booth for Non NAAA Members, $50./booth for NAAA Members.
Booth Size is 10 feet by 10 feet. NAAA provides a 10 foot by 10 foot space, Artist must supply their own covered tent, Display units, etc. Artists cannot stake tents in the ground because of water sprinklers so tents must be held down by weights.
Requirements: Artists must have a minimum of 5 art pieces to participate. No nudes are allowed due to city ordinances. Artworks must be identified as original, copies, or reproductions such as Giclee prints. Artists must participate in both days of the show, Sat. August 16 and Sun. August 17th from 10am to 5pm. Security will be provided for Saturday night, but we advise that you take your valuable artwork home and leave your tent until Sunday morning. All sales must be made at the NAAA sales desk on the sidewalk due to city ordinances.
Juried Adult Art show competition: There will be a juried Adult Art show for participants who buy booth space. One artwork per booth is allowed into the competition for free. Artwork must be submitted at 9:30am and awards will be handed out at 3pm on Saturday August 16th.

Notes: If you want to make a sale by credit card (MasterCard or Visa) but do not have a credit card machine, the NAAA will provide the credit card service for a 7% fee of the total sale. Deadline for early registration is July 13, 2008. We are limiting the number of booths to around 100, so please register early to get a good spot.

I am a jewelry designer from New York City spending my summer in my hometown in the seacoast area. I have been teaching in the city for 4 years and am available to teach here in the summer until the end of August.

Here are some of the courses I can teach:

Wire wrapping - teaches you how to make your own earrings, certain styles of neclaces and bracelets, and how to attach beads to chain.

Crimping - teaches you how to attach clasps to beaded necklace and to create a floating bead necklace.

Knotting - teaches you how to add small knots between beads (typically used for pearls but can be used with almost any bead)

Cost of class is $50 which includes materials for a finished product you can wear that day. Cost includes travel to the Seacoast area. Travel elsewhere can be arranged but an additional fee will be added. Cost is for one person. Each additional person is $25-$30.

ellO gallery&shop is offering up an open call for the exhibit "Cram It!�, which will open August 6th and continue until Sept. 8th. The concept: cramming the gallery with as much dirt cheap art as possible. The show is a wide open call to artists to squeeze in as much as possible. Unlike our usual process, where the work stays during the entire run of the exhibit, buyers of the art are invited to take it when they purchase it, hopefully leaving our gallery near-empty by the end of the exhibition!

So, basically $10 retail price is the magical number, but we will be selling pieces for as much as $20. (Hint: a series of small works that fit together can add up nicely if you are able to sell a whole set).

For this show we are doing a special process where we will be accepting most all artists� work who applies. PLEASE try to stay as contemporary as possible. We can define what we mean if you have questions. We definitely want to sell your work, but we would like it to deviate from art that has been widely established in the area. Let�s all branch out and get truly creative!

With your submission, please include the following information:

- Pricing information

- What type of medium/materials you use, etc.

- If the work will be hanging (wall/from ceiling), sculptural or whatever else.

- The number of pieces you�d like to include for consideration for the exhibition. Since we are filling the gallery as much as possible we can accept varying amounts of work depending on size/format/etc. We will be displaying art in every space possible.

Generally this exhibition will revolve around pieces that you have already completed. We would appreciate photos of work you would like us to put in. We will more than likely accept everyone who applies for the show. We�ve gotta cram it!

All of this information is VERY important to us in helping to plan the show. The more information you give us, the better.

Deadline for applying: Tues. July 8th , 2008

Absolute Deadline for finished product: Sat. Aug. 2nd, 2008

We will NOT be accepting last-minute submissions, so please stick to the deadline.

I do not have a studio so do not develop my own photos. I would leave you with an SD card or DVD of your photos. No need to worry about extra fees or prints that you don�t want. Also, you�ll get all of the photos that I take to do with what you would like, so no need to worry about the photographer discarding a memory that you might cherish. Anywho, been thinking about trying to DO something with my photos, but the galleries over here, well, don't seem to be the place for traditional landscape photography. Everyone is so edgy/modern/hip that traditional work doesn't seem to have a place. Am I missing something?

And no, I'm not talking super serious, but it's not my day job. Okay, it would be cool if it could be, but I don't have delusions. Just wanna have some fun, cuz that's what it is about.

My name is Scott and I am a local Martial artist with extra training in stage combat instruction. Myself and some of my students are interested in making movies. nothing big....more like youtube quality. I am using it as a training experiment for my students but we would like to film and put it to music. I have 4 years performing arts and 19 years martial arts exp. with 6 years of instructing under my belt. I have many creative ideas and am VERY open to other peoples. However, the only other person I need involved is someone who wants to hang out with a few cool guys and have a relaxing time, maybe learn some martial arts....but you need to have a camera and knowledge of how to edit film and music together and stuff. I am fairly technologically stupid. So anyone looking to use their camera skills once in a while, maybe some traveling to cool locations and a good sense of humor, come join us.
